About The Role
GATE PERSON - Fixed Term Project - 12 months
DIVISION: Building South
LOCATION: Ballycastle, NI
We are now recruiting for an experienced Gate Person to join our Building South division on a fixed term contract, for an initial 12months.
As a Gate Person, you will carry out instructions as directed by the Site Management Team to assist the delivery of the project work to the agreed quality, timescales and safety requirements.
Please note: On occasion this role will require some flexible working hours and arrangements to be discussed and agreed at the time.
Duties May Include
- Ensure all persons arriving on site sign in & out of the site compound
- Record and log all lorry movements on /off site
- Undertake general housekeeping duties and maintain a high standard of site cleanness within the site compound and Site Entrance, including litter pick around the area.
- Record all deliveries to site – ensure they are safely offloaded and stored, then notify to correct persons on site
- Clean lorry wheels when leaving site daily, which involves physical lifting and general labour
- Ensure outside the site boundary is always kept pristine
- Collect materials from suppliers (driving licence / experience required to drive)
- Manage the site store, including organising stock and keeping accurate records.
- Ensure parking areas are maintained so not to affect public perception of the Project
- Maintain a good relationship with all stakeholders and always behave in a professional manner
- Undertake all duties as required in a reliable, flexible constructive manner
Essential
- Demonstrate an ability to work on own initiative
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and flexibility in working hours
- Possess a valid CSR Card
Desirable
- Demonstrate a general knowledge of construction and maintenance works
- Sound administration skills with an understanding of the importance of paperwork
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Vehicle Marshalling training/banksman training
